Islamic Center Of Kansas  (ICK) will start Maghrib and Isha prayers today, Tue June 2, 2020 with certain best practices required for overall safety of our congregation and community at large.  With your cooperation and understanding, these best practices will need to be adhered to so that ICK will stay in compliance with the guidelines provided by CDC / WHO, medical experts, ICK scholarship, and keeping in consideration the operational and logistical challenges for the safety of our community members.

  • To start off we will be having Magrib (Iqama 8:50 PM) and Isha (Iqama at 10:20 PM) only. Additional prayers will be added over time
  • We will be praying in the Tent set up in the parking lot on the North side of the building
  • Children under the age of 15 should pray at home
  • Adults over the age of 65 are encouraged to pray at home
  • Please plan to be at the masjid 15 minutes prior to Iqama Time.  Admission is on first-come-first serve basis
  • Mandatory Check-In steps:
    • A check-in sheet will be provided for your COVID-19 and ICK rules Acknowledgement
    • Please wear a mask
    • Please bring your personal prayer rug
  • The designated prayer area has been marked with six feet distance for an individual
  • Inside building facilities including restrooms, wudu areas, and water fountains are not accessible at this time
  • Please observe social distancing at all times. No socializing or gathering in and around the masjid before or after prayers is permissible

Again for your safety, the safety of our congregation and the community at large:

  • If you are high risk, sick, live with high risk person or a front line healthcare worker seeing patients, pray at home
  • If you or someone you know have come in contact with a positive COVID-19 person in the past 14 days, pray at home
  • If you have traveled in the past 14 days, pray at home
  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of sickness, pray at home
