A Program for Muslim Youth Entering Middle School
Middle school is one of the biggest transitions a young Muslim will face — new schools, new social dynamics, new questions about who they are and where they belong.
Rooted & Rising is a small-group program designed specifically for students going into 6th and 7th grade. In a safe, supportive space, students explore their Islamic identity, navigate friendships and social pressures, and build the emotional skills they’ll carry for years to come.
Less lecturing. More listening. Students lead the conversation — and they won’t be doing it alone.

What Students Will Explore
Every session is built around real conversations — the kind students are already having but rarely get to have in a faith-centered space.
- Who am I? Building a confident Muslim identity in middle school
- Friendships, peer pressure, and knowing where you stand
- Emotions, stress, and how to handle hard moments
- Social media, comparisons, and staying grounded
- What does my faith actually mean to me — in real life?
What Makes Rooted & Rising Different
This isn’t a lecture series. It’s a conversation — and your child is at the center of it.
- 10 students max per group – Small groups only
- 8th–10th grade Muslim students are part of every session, not just adults – Near-peer mentors
- We set the space, students shape the conversation – Student-led discussions
- Honest, judgment-free, and grounded in Islamic values – A safe environment
- You’ll know what your child is working through – Parent involvement from day one
Session Schedule
The program runs for 4 weeks starting June 2025, with two sessions per week:
- Thursdays, 6:45–7:45 PM — focused discussion and reflection (1 hour)
- Saturdays, 2:00–4:00 PM — deeper exploration, group activities, and peer mentorship (2 hours)
Both sessions are designed to complement each other. Attending both days each week is encouraged to get the full experience.
Tuition & Registration
$25 for the full month
Spots are limited to 10 boys and 10 girls — we keep groups small on purpose. Register early to secure your child’s place.

We know middle school is a sensitive time — not just for your child, but for you too. That’s why parent involvement is built into Rooted & Rising from the very beginning.
Before the program starts, we’ll connect with you directly so you understand the format, the topics, and how sessions are structured. We want you as a partner in this — not just as a drop-off.
